This was our biggest challenge with the formulation, and it’s perfect. Dermatologist approved: In the context of skincare in South Africa, “dermatologist approved” means a product has been tested by a dermatologist or a third-party lab under the supervision of a dermatologist and deemed safe for use. This typically involves a Human Repeat Insult Patch Test (HRIPT) to assess potential irritation or allergic reactions. The dermatologist reviews the test results and provides their approval based on the findings. The colour: Malachite is one of the ingredients in the Gel-Cream. Malachite extract, derived from the green copper carbonate hydroxide mineral, is a cosmetic ingredient, primarily for its antioxidant and detoxifying properties. It’s often included in products to protect the skin from environmental damage and to potentially boost collagen and elastin production. The Rescue Repair Gel-Cream contains no artificial colourants.
