My dog is dark grey and blends perfectly with shadows. These lights are perfect. They’re bright, simple to use, lightweight, durable, waterproof, battery efficient, and safe. I use one on her harness and one on the loop of the leash so you can see dog AND person.7 months and the batteries just gave out. The clear has one scuff on it finally, and that’s after being in pools, mud, sand, and other dogs’ mouths (they do seem like an interesting chew toy!). No dirt or water in the casings. The wire gates are still going strong. It’s small enough that it doesn’t get caught and bent easily. That also means it’s a little hard to open if you don’t have fingernails, but it’s not a problem for me. Very easy to change the batteries out. Each one takes 2x CR2016 batteries. A package of 2 batteries cost me ~$5 on AmazonThe only condition I haven’t tested now is use AFTER prying off the cover to replace the batteries for the first time. The plastic might eventually wear out and fall off or lose the watertight seal. Even if it does, $8 for ~1 year of safety and convenience is worth it.I love Nite Ize and recommend it to my friends and everyone at the dog park! (Bonus: Nite Ize s-biners have greatly reduced the number of lost camelbak bottles for me.)
